Tantra roots are ancient in both the Vedic and Buddhist traditions. It is a spiritual path leading to enlightenment but it is not a faith or belief system. Tantra is a way of living and being in the body here and now. Tantra is not only about sex, its is about love and spiritual awakening embracing every feeling and emotion. It awakens the senses and invokes our unlimited capacity to melt into joy. By empowering your feelings, intuition, wisdom, beauty, creativity, and spontaneity, you will reveal your Goddess and replace the slave to which you unconsciously cling to. Tantra means Expansion of Consciousness and this is the only way to experience true transformation.

Our teacher, Rajani, has therapeutic training in tantra, breathing, and meditation from Osho Multiversity International in Pune, India and from the Osho Miasto Institute in Tuscany, Italy. Her work is focused on supporting the expansion of consciousness sharing her experience and tools that have helped her in her own personal process. The essence of her work is to bring awareness to the present through the body, relearning how to feel, as a powerful solvent for limiting patterns, and a direct pathway in the development of the watcher, the silence and the inner master.

    8 days/ 7 nights   Total Walking Distance: 112KM

Our Camino follows the traditional stops along the last 112 KM of the French Way in 8 days. For your convenience, we use private accommodations in "Casas Rurales", which are best described as rustic charming guest-houses, owned by Spanish families who use their homes to welcome pilgrims and provide them with a more authentic experience.  With our package, you will also receive all your dinners included, which will provide you with a more cultural experience as you delight in local dishes and local wines through each village you pass.

    Accommodation Charming Guest-houses
    Starting point: Sarria
Stops: Portomarín, Palas de Rei, Melide, Arzua, Pedrouzo
    Ends: Santiago de Compostela

Day 1-  MAKING OUR WAY TO YOUR STARTING POINT OF THE CAMINO
Make your way to Sarria, where you will spend the night in a small hotel in the town center. In the afternoon, try to visit the Old Quarters, go for a walk by the river and soak in the unique atmosphere of the staircase on which the old town of Sarria has been built. Then stop at one of the many terraces by the river for your first taste of Galician beer or wine.

Day 2- 22 KM - WALK FROM SARRIA TO PORTOMARÍN
Finally, this is the day you start your pilgrimage! Head up the medieval stairs as you make your way to Portomarín. The Camino starts with easy paved trails going up and down through beautiful countryside, meadows and oak woods, charming villages with slate roofs before you find a huge medieval bridge in Portomarín. Don’t forget to take a picture of yourself in front of the 100 KM marker and witness those who have walked hundreds of kilometers get emotional. Our destination is a small hotel in the center of Portomarín, a town with great history, impressive archways and a memorable church. This town is very unique as great battles took place in the valley below and the town you visit is only a replica of the medieval town relocated in the 60s rock by rock to avoid floods.

Day 3- 23 KM WALK FROM PORTOMARIN TO PALAS DE REI
Today, you will be walking a trail that has been protected by the Knights of the Order of Santiago since 1184 and you will pass near a Romanesque Church, of Vilar de Donas, where the knights are buried (2,5 KM away from the Camino). There will be some more uphill and downhill but mostly peaceful oak and eucalyptus forests and charming villages including Gonzar and Airexe until Palas de Rei. At night, you will stay in a bungalow style hotel, 1 KM before Palas de Rei but just next door to the Albergue Municipal and the public swimming pool so you can expect a good atmosphere.

Day 4- 16 KM - WALK FROM PALAS DE REI TO MELIDE
There is less than 4h walk today, so take it easy and make sure to arrive in Melide in time for lunch. Follow the ancient roman road through forests to a different Province - A Coruña - and marvel at true jewels of the Camino such as Furelo’s medieval bridge, considered one of the jewels of the French Way’s civil architecture, and the oldest surviving cruceiro (calvary) in the world. In Melide - please - treat yourself to “Pulpo a la Galega” (Octopus Galician Style) at our recommended establishment.

Day 5- 14 KM - WALK FROM MELIDE TO ARZÚA
Another relaxing day through the peaceful Galician countryside. You will find by now the Camino is changing. As your body and feet are getting used to the activity, the path becomes gentler. Take it in and enjoy this time-off from your busy life, to think, relax and interact with fellow pilgrims. You have done more than half of the journey but the best is still to come. Our destination for the night, Arzúa, is famous for its peculiarly shaped cheese, so ask your host tonight to do a cheese and wine degustación at dinner.

Day 6- 19 KM - WALK FROM ARZÚA TO O PEDROUZO
Only 40 KM left from Santiago, the ambiance along the Way is changing as people plan to celebrate their arrival and start realizing it will soon be time to part with people they might have been walking with for a month. The countryside itself changes as you enter forests with totally symmetric rows that produce curious visual effects. The villages you pass virtually have no name and seem stuck in time. Walk this section at sunrise for an unforgettable experience and arrive early in O Pedrouzo.

Day 7- 20 KM - WALK FROM O PEDROUZO TO SANTIAGO
Only twenty kilometers separates you from your goal. Leave early to reach Santiago before twelve if you wish to see the pilgrim mass at midday (other at 7:30). Enter the Medieval Town through the Puerta del Camino, pass the iconic Praza de Cervantes. A few meters further you will find the Azabachería Door, the official entrance to the Cathedral on non-Holy years (in 2016 until November 20th and again in 2021 you will be able to enter through the Holy Door on the Quintana Square). Enter the Cathedral now, if you wish, we recommend continuing to the Plaza del Obradoiro, the main Square of the Cathedral, where you will find the Portico de la Gloria and the most impressive view of the Cathedral. Simply stop here. Congratulations, you have made it to Santiago de Compostela, the resting place of the Apostle Saint James. Breath in and truly live this moment, do whatever feels right. You still have a few things to do today - check in to your hotel 200 meters way, get your pilgrim certificate, attend pilgrim mass, try some delicious tapas and marvel at the architecture of our beloved City.

Day 8- START OF YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE
A wise pilgrim once told us “the real Camino starts where the Camino de Santiago finishes but I will not be afraid because the Camino will always be there for me.” We hope the Camino de Santiago has brought you whatever you were looking for and to wish to see you again soon in Galicia!

Stops: Ponferrada, O Cebreiro, Sarria, Portomarín, Palas de Rei, Melide, Arzua, Pedrouzo
    Ends: Santiago de Compostela

Day 1- MAKE YOUR WAY TO ASTORGA
Take a bus from Madrid to the Roman City of Astorga, where our driver will pick you up and bring you to your first stay. This fascinating town offers to its visitors a beautiful Gothic Cathedral, an unusual Episcopal palace designed by Antonio Gaudí (mostly known for designing the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona).

Day 2- 20 KM – WALK FROM ASTORGA TO RABANAL DEL CAMINO
Finally, this is the day you start your pilgrimage! Today, you will be walking out of the Meseta and up into the Mountains of Leon. Make sure you have enough food and water.  You will pass the remains of the Roman gold mines of La Fucarona. In the 12th century, the Templar Knights were in charge of protecting Rabanal del Camino.

Day 3-  17 KM – WALK FROM RABANAL TO ACEBO
Be ready, today you will reach one of the rooftops of the French Way. In about 7 km up you will climb 350m from Rabinal to La Cruz de Ferro, (at 1,504 m altitude), one of the most emblematic places of the pilgrimage. The French-born hermit Gaucelmo who founded the Hospital of Foncebadón, probably placed the cross (this is a replica) in the11th century to show the Way when the heavy winter snow made it difficult for Pilgrims to follow the path.

    Day 4-  DAY IN PONFERRADA
Option to continue walking or for our transfer to bring you 15 km further to your Ponferrada, an ancient Roman citadel which was placed under the custody of the Order of the Temple in the 11th century. The Knights Templar used the site of a primitive Roman fortress to build a castle in which they settled and which, at the same time, protected the passing pilgrims.

Day 5- O CEBREIRO AND SARRIA
Option to continue walking or our transport will bring you first in 25 min to the village of Villafranca do Bierzo to visit the puerta del Perdon. After a short break, you will then head to the Celtic mountain village of O Cebreiro. With stunning panoramic views of the valleys below from 1300 meters up, the ancient pallozas, circular pre-Roman stone dwellings built by the Celts of the region. We will stop 1h in O Cebreiro before driving back down to the other side of the mountains, the region of Galicia and the town of Sarria.

Day 6- 23KM - WALK FROM SARRIA TO PORTOMARIN
Head up the medieval staircase and start making your way to Portomarin. Walk along easy paved trails through beautiful countryside, meadows and oak woods, charming villages with slate roofs and a huge medieval bridge. Don’t forget to take a picture of yourself in front of the 100 km marker.

Day 7- 25KM - WALK FROM PORTOMARIN TO PALAS DE REI
The next kilometers will be uphill through woodlands into the hamlet Gonzar. There will be some more uphill and downhill but mostly peaceful oak and eucalyptus forests and charming villages including Gonzar and Airexe. Today, you will be walking a trail that has been protected by the Knights of the Order of Santiago since 1184.

Day 8- 14KM - WALK FROM PALAS DE REI TO MELIDE
Make sure to arrive in time for lunch in Melide as this town is renown for having the oldest surviving cruceiro (calvary) in the world and for the best Pulpo a la Galega (Octopus) in Galicia. Don’t miss the Octopus with paprika and boiled poptatoes in Pulpería Ezequiel or A Garnacha.

Day 9- 14KM - WALK FROM MELIDE TO ARZUA
Continue your journey through the peaceful Galician countryside. You will find by now the way you live the Camino is changing. As your body and feet are getting used to the activity, the path becomes gentler. You have done more than half of your journey but the best parts are still to come. You will be walking into Arzua, which is famous for its peculiarly shaped cheese!

Day 10- 19KM - WALK FROM ARZUA TO O PEDROUZO
With only 40 km left from Santiago, you will notice the ambiance along the Way is changing. The countryside itself changes as you enter forest with totally symmetric rows that produce curious visual effects. The villages you pass virtually have no name and seem stuck in time.

Day 11-  20KM - WALK FROM O PEDROUZO TO SANTIAGO
This is it! Leave early to reach Santiago before 12, if you wish to see the pilgrim mass (also at 7:30 pm).
Climb up Monte do Gozo (Mount of joy) which offers stunning views on the City before continuing downhill into the Medieval Town, which we will enter via the “Camino Door”. You have finally finished the Camino de Santiago! Pick up your
Compostela & marvel at the architecture of this beloved City.

Day 12- DAY TOUR TO FINESTERRE

Day Tour to Finisterre, the land at the end of the world. You will discover: the stunning mirador of Paxareiras, the quaint fishing town of Muros, unique Ézaro which is the only place in Europe where a waterfall flows into the sea before finishing in the old town of Finisterre and it’s lighthouse at the end of the world.
