Walk the last 100km of the Portuguese Coastal Way or Caminho da Costa. Discover the wild Atlantic coast of Northern Portgual and Galicia, Spain. Walk through the heart of the famous Rías Baixas region, home of the famous Albariño white wine while experiencing quaint fishing towns, sandy beaches, savoring fresh sea food, local wines, and cheeses.

Accommodation: A combination of 5* boutique hotels, Paradores (luxury style historic buildings) and Pazos (medieval guesthomes occupied and managed by families for generations situated in rural Galicia)
Starting point: Baiona
Stops: Vigo, Redondela, Pontevedra, Caldas de Reis, Padrón
Ends: Santiago de Compostela

Day 1- MAKE YOUR WAY TO BAIONA
Today you will be picked up from your choice of airport between Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ), Francisco Sa Carneiro or Porto Airport (OPO), or Vigo Airport (VGO). Our transfer will bring you to check in at your Parador where you will stay for the night. Enjoy the rest of the day to relax, settle in, and the seaside town of Baiona. Make sure to take a swim in the ocean before starting your Camino tomorrow!

Day 2- 27,1 KM – WALK FROM BAIONA TO VIGO
Today you start your Camino! Follow the coast from Baiona to Nigrán until you make your way to Vigo. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Bay of Vigo and the Natural Reserve of the Illas Cíes that make up the Atlantic Islands of Galicia Natural Park. Once you arrive to Vigo you will be transferred to your Pazo. For your convenience, you will stay here for the next two nights.

Day 3- 15,7 KM – WALK FROM VIGO TO REDONDELA
Continue on your coastal Camino from the Bay of Vigo towards Redondela.. Enjoy a relaxed a walk through a wooded path, your Camino is not as extensive today. Once you arrive to Redondela you will join with the original Portuguese Camino. Your transfer will pick you up after arriving in Redondela and bring you back to your Pazo in Vigo.

Day 4- 18,2 KM WALK FROM REDONDELA TO PONTEVEDRA
Check out from your Pazo and your transfer will pick you up to drop you off at the starting walking point you left off at the day before in Redondela.  Make the most of your seaside views, as today is the last day along the coast. Enjoy the famous oysters in the fishing village of Arcade. Once you arrive to Pontevedra, take advantage of exploring the historic town with its Roman style churches and granite public squares. Check in to your next Parador in the center of town where you will stay for one night.

Day 5- 23 KM WALK FROM PONTEVEDRA TO CALDAS DE REIS
Today the Camino will take you through chestnut groves, pine, and eucalyptus forest along several river valleys. Once arrive to Caldas de Reis you transferred to your boutique hotel. The history of Caldas is linked to natural thermal waters that can be enjoyed at a constant 40 degrees year round and inhabited by the Celtics and the Romans centuries ago. Relax your muscles while enjoying the natural thermal spa located right inside your hotel.

Day 6- 18,5 KM WALK FROM CALDAS DE REIS TO PADRÓN
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your transfer to be taken back to the starting point in Caldas de Reis. From Here you will continue walking and cross the river Umia, be sure to enjoy the hot springs that have given the town its name since Roman times. The trail once again takes you through pine forests until you reach the town of Padrón. Be sure to try the Pimientos de Padrón, a varied green pepper tapa famous from this town. Saint Jame’s body was said to first reach Padrón as it was being brought to Compostela by boat. Your transfer will pick you up and take you back to your boutique hotel spa in Caldas de Reis.

Day 7- 25KM WALK FROM PADRÓN TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Congratulations, you’ve reached your final day! Once you arrive to Santiago, take time to explore this gem of a city. Santiago de Compostela is full of jovial and refreshing energy from the arriving pilgrims, students, and locals. You will run into local artists playing celebratory music along the streets, enjoy a bite to eat, and a glass of wine in the many bars and restaurants scattered throughout Santiago. Make sure to pick up your Compostela certificate once you arrive. Tonight you will check-in to your Parador located in the center of the city right next to the Cathedral of Santiago.

Rates are quoted in Euros, therefore rates are subject to change until tour is fully paid. Payments can be made through our e-commerce website by credit card or by phone. Because of the limited availability of rooms in our accommodation, full payment is due at least 90 days prior to your starting day.
